Jackie Gatwood, descendant of Isaac Campbell says that this son is HARDY and he married Sally Duff. Isaac's brother-in-law was named Hardy Williams and he may have named his son after him. Isaac also had a brother named Hiram who lived next doo r to him on the 1850 Perry Co. census and he could have named his son after him. The name is HIRAM on the 1850 Census. There is a Hardy Campbell on the 1870 Owsley census, b. 1837, m. to a Sarah.

Westmoreland Co. Land Records, Bk 2; Mar 11, 1728 Daniel Thomas and his brother secured a warrant for 300 A. in Stafford Co.. Nov 16 1731 they jointly obtained 300 A. in Prince William Co. that were subsequently divided equally between them by ord er of the court. After 1742 all of their lands were in Fairfax Co. Daniel Thomas was next living in Fairfax Co. as a freeholder. In 1744 he voted for representatives for the House of Burgesses -Virginia Freeholders by Lang.
