Notes

Although death record says Isaac was born in 1793, none of Marchant's sons appeared on the Clay Co. KY Tax List prior to 1815. Isaac himself was not on the list until 1824. Also the ages of his children would indicate that he was born later tha n 1793, as does the 1850 Breathitt Co. Census. The death record confirms place of birth as SC. It also says Isaac died of consumption (Tuberculosis).
